On July 5th, approximately 60 people of all ages gathered to swim as many laps as they could for pledges and donations to support the Swim For Sports fundraiser hosted by Wing Point Golf and Country Club and Bainbridge Boosters. Proceeds, which will be tallied by the end of the month, will offset student athletic fees for the Bainbridge Island School District sports programs.

Olympic silver medalist Emily Silver of Bainbridge lent her support for all of the swimmer participants and helped attracted dozens of corporate sponsors for the event.
